Hart is the new space opened by Hur Yu in Bukcheon in the heart of the old city of Seoul where traditional houses are preserved and cherished by tourists and locals alike. Hur suddenly decided to close down his 13 year old multi-label shop, first of its kind to open in the city and open a gallery space so he can present a series of collections under a designated theme or subject. There is no sign to distinguish the space as a gallery at the traditional Hanok where details like the tiled roof and the sliding door decorated in traditional pattern attract visitors every day. Look out for the door number placed above the front gate to find the gallery. All are welcome except for when the gallery is closed to prepare the next exhibition which is announced on Instagram. The second exhibition <Vanishing> told the story of his personal collections archived throughout the years as a multi-label shop owner and the first exhibition <Uncool> inspired by designer Gosha Rubchinsky’s Russian accents presented a collection of cool vintage items from the Soviet era. Exhibited items are available for purchase.
